Co Thiee was born in Yangon in 1963. As a student at Yangon University, he drew posters for the 8-8-88 democracy movement. In the 1990s he was employed as a signboard painter, illustrator, graphic designer and film director. He turned to painting in 2000, making it his professional career in 2006. In this painting, a train crosses the flat open plain found throughout the whole of central Myanmar.
