My artwork shows my view of a city covered in trees, which is inspired by the plants preserved in the old districts of Wan Chai. I deconstructed the Wan Chai district that is full of buildings and planted in some trees to vivify the street.
Planting trees, truly, brings many benefits to a city; trees absorb odors and pollutant gases, cool down the streets, and shield people from ultra-violet rays as well as noises. A greener city view also gets its inhabitants closer to the nature.
But really? By just planting more trees, does it really make our city GREEN?
