San Joaquin Kit Fox at Sunset
The tiny, crafty San Joaquin Kit Fox is difficult to spot, with fur blending into its surroundings. The buff or yellowish-grey coloring, big ears, long bushy tail and furry toes add a certain appeal to the attentive creatures. Here, the mother fox checks the fur of her pup, as the last slivers of light pass through the openings in the trees.
