Patches of green offered a false sense of warmth to the nine hours planted in waist-deep snow. I’d spent the last four years dreaming, searching and failing at the idea of sighting a Bobcat in Yellowstone National Park.
The dream became reality on a cold winter’s day. I whispered my appreciation with each click of the shutter and thanked my lucky stars for the stroke of good fortune. I captured the cat in all her glory, as she emerged from the darkness into the light of the rare winter sunset.
“ .. but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.”
