This course introduced students to what graphic design is and the design process. Through the problem-solving approach, students will learn how to apply the design basics to create graphic design solutions.

Working in groups, students went through phases of research, analysis, Ideas generation, development and final execution, and created posters for the ‘Read Widely’ Campaign to encourage HKUST students to read beyond the course reading lists, and the ‘World Carfree Day’ Promotion to encourage the Hong Kong private car owners to give up their car on the event day.
