Grasp 握心

“Grasp” is an interactive installation to let the elderly to share and the young to listen and vice versa. There are many untold stories from the elderly who experienced diverse life stories. Some old pals are eager to share them which the young worth learning from. An open communication is triggered by holding hand and is such an easy thing. We usually cannot count how many people we have held hands with over the years. Holding hands is one of the most casual, yet simultaneously intimate physical acts. We wish the audience will hold their elders’ hands to listen their stories after holding this hand.

老年人喜歡與人分享自己的故事，而現在的年輕人卻已不願傾聽他們的訴說，我們希望通過這個裝置，讓年輕人看到老年人想要訴說的迫切心情，在這位“老人”緊握觀眾的手訴說時，觀眾會有所感觸，回到家中，也會握住長輩的手，聽聽他們的故事。
