林章松篆刻
林老師之篆刻雖然師事曾榮光先生,但其印風與其師截然不同。據先生所言,曾師教篆刻重在以心傳心,立下規矩不許學生因循老師印風,必須走自己的路。正正因為學藝途上無羈絆樊籠,因此先生之篆刻面貌豐富多變。
先生盛年開始收集印譜,所見古人印蛻無數,師法秦漢古璽,尤其以漢白文印最精。究其原因有三:一是多讀多臨古印;二是以字入印;三是先生臂力驚人。比如「故國蒼茫又誰主」、「曾經滄海」、「與華傳神」都是以漢滿白文印為基礎,吸收皖浙兩派而來,而且這批印章多是先生中年以前作品,觀其印面入印三分,可見臂力之驚人。
是次展覽除了師事秦漢印的印作外,還有兩枚佛像印。其一是學來楚生的印,其二是邊款刻有鑒真和尚法相的大印。先生早年收藏了數千座佛像,亦喜刻佛像印,曾經應允老友刻佛像印,後來老友身故,先生便盡數毀去生平所刻佛像印,此佛像印系去年整理松蔭軒時無意得到,先生常戲稱為「死剩種」,今日值此活動得以重見天日。最後三枚印章系先生去年所刻,贈予科大史維校長,以誌交情。

Carving by Lam Cheung Chung
The artistic style of Mr. Lam’s carving is rich and versatile. He draws inspiration from Qin and Han seals, especially from his own rich collection of seal albums, with speciality in Han Baiwen style.
The seal pieces shown in this exhibition are mostly his earlier works, including two seals with the statue of Buddha. There are also three pieces that Mr. Lam created last year; they are gifts for President Shyy of HKUST for their friendship.
